Vision

CALD aims to strengthen the credibility of the coaching profession by forming coaches who practice with presence, discernment, and ethical responsibility in complex leadership contexts.

Learning Philosophy

The CALD program is grounded in a learning philosophy that prioritizes experiential practice, sustained engagement, reflective insight, and ethical application, ensuring participants develop the competencies, professional identity, and judgment required of ICF-aligned coaches working in complex leadership contexts. We believe coach education is most effective when learners are active participants in a structured, relationship-centered process. Learning in CALD is intentionally synchronous, adult-centered, iterative, and scaffolded, allowing participants to practice coaching skills over time, receive observation and feedback, internalize ethical principles, and develop confidence in their professional presence.

CALD emphasizes integration of knowledge, skill, and ethical judgment.

Participants are guided to:

•Demonstrate foundational mastery of ICF Core Competencies through repeated practice, observation, and feedback.

•Engage in reflective practice to deepen self-awareness, presence, and ethical decision-making.

•Apply learning in realistic coaching scenarios that mirror the complexity of professional practice.

•Uphold and demonstrate the ICF Code of Ethics across all coaching interactions.

Our continuous evaluation ensures curriculum, learning experiences, and assessment processes remain aligned with ICF standards, research-informed best practices, and evolving leadership demands. By modeling the way coaches are expected to work with their clients, CALD prepares participants to practice responsibly, contribute to the credibility of the profession, and sustain ongoing professional growth.
